I understand you, the Net is full of get rich quick schemes and other unrealistic offers how to start your internet home business opportunity. Do not believe them, I know it from experience.

It is somehow sad to speak in a way against my own industry.

The reason comes from the nature of this business, when you start without earlier experience. You see, to learn the internet business is the same as if you would go into the high quality business school with the target to graduate as a master of science.

The difference is some kind of the combination of brand image and the emotions, which a site visitor has at a certain moment.

This is called want marketing. So people buy what they want and not what they need. A man may need a SUV but buys a sports car. A newbie, who has just started to market online business ideas wants money, but needs kow-how.

2.Think People`s Wants, Not SEO.

Okay, if you have decided to drive a huge amount of traffic to your online busines site, using search engine optimization, that´s okay.

But if your site is stuffed by odd, long tail keywords and the reader really cannot understand it or sees it totally bad language, what happens? He escapes at that very moment.

3.Think What Kind Of Memories You Will Make.

Animals live in this very moment, but we human beings live in our memories. Yes, in memories.

We all have strengths and weaknesses. So have affiliate marketing businesses. It is extremely important to think about the strategic strengths but also the strategic weaknesses.

In many cases the biggest problem is a huge amount of information and a constant flow of new mediums and tactics. They confuse even the best ones in the affiliate business marketing.

I have worked in the affiliate marketing business over three years and written some hundreds articles. That has been a great learning process, because the article writing requires lots of research.

Based on my own experience I have written this list of major reasons to failures in the affiliate marketing business.

1. A Marketer Has No Strategy.

This is absolutely the number one reason to make a sure failure.. A strategy means the ways how to reach the targets and it definitively does not mean that all ways are equally good.

The key idea of the strategy is to be selective, i.e. to pick only certain ways to run the marketing.

To build a working strategy means that a marketer reads a lot, change experiences with other affiliates and thinks a lot. A strategy is a long term way to act, which needs finetuning regularly.

To change the affiliate marketing business strategy is a serious decision.

Many marketers will do the change right away, when their results are behind the targets. I think that is not right, because you have to build an expertise on a certain area and it takes time.

2.A Marketer Has Zero Discipline.

In the American marketing litterature the word “discipline” is used very often. It simply means that an affiliate marketing business and it`s owner follows the decided strategies.

But before a marketer can become disciplined, he must have studied, for what the discipline is needed.

The key is to select only a few amount of tactics, which fits the marketer`s experiences and skills. A marketer can grow these skills to a high level and become a respected expert.

3.A Marketer Has Not Enough Knowledge.

The affiliate marketing business, or internet in general, is very sexy and many seem to think that because it is so popular, who ever can manage there.

But the main feature of the Net is that it is run by information and because the market is global and very large, the best marketers have found it and do an extremely good job.

The information highway respects knowledge and on the other way, does not appreciate bad work. So the absolute must is to get the knowledge needed.

Sometimes people think that there is a shortcut. They think that they can buy the success, for instance by buying PPC advertising.

However also this discipline requires top skills, before you can become successful and reach your goals.

The Net is filled with useful and useless ebooks and other stuff. If the affiliate marketing business owner has not the discipline, there is a danger that he will buy new ebook after ebook and does not understand that the secret cannot be found there.
